My Career Plan

Career Goal: To become a school counselor.

Requirements:

·         Master’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education

·         Successfully complete a school counselor preparation program.

·         Two years of classroom teaching experience. 

·         Minimum score of 240 on School Counselor Exam (TExES #152) 

Current Skills and Interests:

·         Volunteer once a week with Senior Year Productions helping high school students prepare for college

·         A logical mind.

·         Understand how children learn.

·         Able to control, motivate, and inspire children to do their best at all times.

·         As a person who children naturally respect and admire.

Plan To Reach Career Goal:

·         Job Experience – Minimum of two years as a classroom teacher

·         Receive Master’s degree

·         Take the TExES #152 exam and pass
